Shipping Fees

International shipping charges are calculated by dimensional weight and the country of destination (since each country will have different costs and fees associated with it). At the moment we only ship to the countries listed above.  Stone Town Collectibles will do it’s best to combine shipping where possible

Delivery Estimates/Restrictions

Delivery times vary depending on the shipping method selected.

Stone Town Collectibles will only ship orders to the customer’s billing address or place of business. If you choose to send your order to your business address, then you will need to include your business name along with that address information; otherwise, we will automatically send the item to your billing address.

Should you decide to use a secondary address, you'll be authorizing anyone at that address to sign for your package. Make sure you trust whomever will be there! If this shipment needs to be returned or exchanged, we will only be able to arrange this with the original customer, regardless of who signed for the package.

International Destinations

In most cases, customs fees, sales taxes, etc., are not included in your purchase price and may be charged by your country’s customs office. In some cases, these duties and customs fees are collected by the carrier.

It is your responsibility to investigate the amount of taxes and duties you will owe prior to your shipment. Stone Town Collectibles uses the harmonized code that we have been told is appropriate for the shipping of our products to your region. Your customs office can change this code on its own.

If you feel that your final code/tax is not correct, then you can contact the carrier and/or your customs office directly to request a review. If a package is refused due to excessive import fees and duties, you will be responsible for any return shipping fees that the carrier will charge Stone Town Collectibles to return the package. If Stone Town Collectibles is unable to have the item returned due to a package refusal, a refund will not be issued.

International shipments will be sent from the U.S. Stone Town Collectibles DOES NOT collect Duty / VAT directly and therefore those fees are not included in your order total. International customers are responsible to pay Duty and VAT directly to the carrier at the time of delivery or via bill/invoice afterward.

Duty assessed on Stone Town Collectibles items is approximately 5% – 7%, but will vary based on the type of item. You should verify the duty rate with your local customs office.

Based on our current catalog, categories based on custom regulations include, but are not limited to:

  1. Plastic toys, bobble heads, dolls, action figures, parts, and accessories. (Duty code: 9503)

  2. Comic Books (raw or graded). (Duty code: 4901.99.0092)

  3. Trading Cards, prints and posters. (Duty code: 4911.91)

Stone Town Collectibles tries to select the best import code for each category of product. However, individual customs offices can reclassify these categories and alter the duty codes before clearance, causing changes in the rates charged. Stone Town Collectibles is not responsible for code changes, or any additional charges that you may incur. We cannot alter the local customs office's decision. Any dispute about these charges must be made by you directly with your customs office.

Shipping Methods

Although subject to change, our only current shipping method is through USPS

Freight Forwarders

Freight forwarders can be an economical and practical shipping solution for customers living outside of the United States. There are some additional conditions to be aware of when using a freight forwarder. Please be aware that we use the term freight forwarder as a broad definition to include actual companies that specialize in freight forwarding as well as friends or family who live in the United States and are willing to ship packages to you.

·        We are not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs after your shipment has been delivered to your freight forwarder. This means we will not refund or provide a replacement for any merchandise that has been exported beyond the original delivery address. To minimize this risk, you should instruct freight forwarders to refuse any shipments that arrive damaged.

·        Our return policy does not apply to any items shipped to a freight forwarder. All sales are considered final and may not be returned.

·        If the freight forwarder you are using has a U.S. address and you subsequently request that the items be exported outside of the United States, you or your freight forwarder are considered the exporter and must comply with all export and import regulations, including all U.S. export regulations and the import regulations of the destination country. Stone Town Collectibles must not be listed on any export documentation including but not limited to export declarations, invoices, and packing lists.

Importation

When ordering from Stone Town Collectibles, you are responsible for assuring the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.

Import Duties, Taxes, and Fees

New Zealand and Canada require us to collect GST on most purchases.

France, Philipines, Netherlands, Mexico, Japan, Germany, Ireland, Italy and United Kingdom require us to collect VAT on most purchases.

Orders shipped outside the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. These fees are assessed when the shipment reaches the recipient's country and are the sole responsibility of the recipient. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict them. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local Customs office for more information.

Customs Clearance

International shipments may be subject to opening and inspection by Customs and/or postal authorities. Individual products and packaging may be opened and inspected. Items may be repacked without  the original care taken when your shipment left our warehouse. We have no control over this process and thus cannot be held responsible or guarantee the condition of any items on arrival. If you experienced a complication with your local Customs agency we recommend that you follow up with them directly.

If your shipment is not cleared by Customs and is disposed of for any reason (including failure to pay any duties, taxes or fees) we will not refund any product or shipping.

Item Restrictions

All products may not be able to be shipped to all destinations. Some items may be too large, or have licensing agreements that only allow us to sell their products in specific countries, or flat out prohibited by Customs. If you try to purchase an item that is not allowed to ship to a specific country we will cancel and refund all prohibited items in your order.

Refunds

Refunds on returns are issued after the product has been received and processed. Refunds are in the original form of payment. In cases where this is not possible, store credit will be issued.

You may view your account to check a refund status. Once we issue your refund there may be a delay for these funds to show in your account:

  • Credit Cards: Typically 3-5 business days

  • PayPal: Depends on your PayPal original source of payment. PayPal states up to 30 days.

  • Store credit: Available immediately

Return Shipping – International Customers

If the return is due to an error on our part, or a damaged or defective product, we will issue store credit for what it would reasonably cost to ship the item back to us using a cost-efficient method. You will be responsible for shipping the item(s) back and paying for the actual shipping fees.

If the return is for any other reason, we will not pay for the return shipping fees and you will be responsible for all shipping costs without reimbursement. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged packages returned to us.

Refused and Undeliverable Shipments

A refused shipment will be treated as a return and any return costs will be deducted from the refund.

International customers will be responsible for any additional fees, duties, or taxes for refused or undeliverable shipments. If customs disposes your shipment for any reason, no refunds will be issued for product or shipping.  If a shipment is returned to us as undeliverable due to an error on your part (such as incorrect address or not home), we will contact you to reship the package; any return and reshipping costs are due before the package is reshipped.
